time!) I've worn the inside down to nothing, the cork is crumbling, and they need re-soling again. Of course, they'll still stay in the closet. (Well, maybe. They really really stink now, too.)
It's a sad thing to put them aside, but I have, at last, found a suitable replacement! These beautiful orange leather flips from Chaco
Soon the mailman will deliver these and my trusty sidekicks will be laid to rest.

Great shoes! My favorite color, too. :)
Love the orange. Off to check out the Chaco site
I seriously looked for like 2 yrs. to find new orange sandals... They so should have been replaced last yr, but I HAD to have orange, lol.
awwwwww, I totally understand. My well-loved, size 42, denimblue, nubuck, florida birks hang on the wall in my closet above the shoes I still wear. They make me smile. :)
bye-bye shoes, but the new ones look purdy.
Precious! I want some! *following high desert diva to Chaco*
What is it about sandals and getting stinky? They are open, shouldn't they air out and smell purdy?
:)
I know how you feel. If something is that comfortable for your feet, they are hard to get rid of but I love the new replacements. Now I want a pair. :-)
I think it'll be easier to send my children off to college than part with my Birkenstock Gizehs!
